Impact Fellowship
A practice transformation for policy professionals at the heart of government.
Our Impact Fellowship introduces policy professionals to a range of proven success practices they can use to transform their work:
- make technology the site of action
- use all the available expertise and advice
- co-design solutions across institutional boundaries; and
- adapt in real time to move fast and fix things sustainably.
Who
Each Fellowship cohort has several small working groups of mid-senior level policy professionals. Each working group is organised around a deeply networked, complex problem.

Support
Fellows often need to move more quickly than conventional hierarchies allow. Each cohort is backed by a community of senior public service executives, who also provide Leader-to-Leader support to the senior management tier of the Fellows.

Selecting The Cohort
Cohorts of 15
Split into 3–5 Fellowship Working Groups organised by topic rather than team: one Working Group might come from a single policy team, another might bring delegates together from a range of different government departments. The point is that the Working Groups are focused on a shared problem.
The cohorts are independent — each begins from scratch with its own topics. Over time, alumni become instructors and mentors for the cohorts that follow.

Impact and AI: A Model For The Future
The Fellowship integrates AI augmented practice into its daily routines. Delegates can expect to develop critical prompt engineering skills and make effective use of AI in their work without becoming trapped by dependency on machine learning.
In addition, the Fellowship's underlying discipline brings modular networks to design technology solutions that adapt in response to real world data. This discipline is the organisational grammar of Agentic AI, which means the Fellowship experience also offers teams a practical way to establish the foundations of their Agentic AI future.
